Things are so great that I'm afraid it's a sign for something bad. Everything is just so perfect. Usually I'm not a very lucky person but somehow the luck has been on my side the whole time I've been travelling! When I got to Barcelona and I was about to go to the ferry to Mallorca, my card didn't work so I had to withdraw some cash from an atm, which of course was in a long distance. The ticket seller was sure that I can't make it to the ferry, but I did! If I hadn't make it to the ferry, I would have had to wait 12 hours. They stopped the bus for me and I got to Mallorca! In Mallorca I had no idea how to get to the other side of the island but somehow I just found my way to the train station and got there!

My lovely, friendly, awesome host family was on the train station waiting for me. The host mom, Johanna is from Sweden. She works in a little boutique and is also a singer. The host dad, Nick works in yacht industry and always comes home after 7pm. The two bilingual girls, 10 years old Freja and 7 years old Phoebe are very interested in learning Finnish! They can speak fluent English, Swedish and Spanish, and they are learning Catalan (and Finnish ofc ;)) It's been nice to be their babysitter. Before I got here, I didn't have any previous experience with kids but now I've been babysitting five kids at the same time and it's all good!  

I have an own room, a very comfortable bed and lot of space! My "job descripsion" is to make lunch, walk the dog, babysit and clean. I absolutely love to do all that and all the time I feel like I owe them. Usually Finnish people come here to have a holiday just for a week, in a hotel with other tourists, but what I'm experiencing is a whole different thing. I can stay with the locals for three weeks! We live in a very nice house with a little pool and a lemon tree on the back yard! The kids sell lemonade on the street just like in America. I can see the sea from my room's window. It's only 400 meters away. This place, Son Serra de Marina is one of the best surfing places so the waves are huge and the beaches are beutiful! 

I really have to enjoy this summer because at the moment there's nothing to worry about. No school, no rent, no work, no homework, no exams or anything to stress about. I've had these nice moments in here, just like in Split. Laying under the sun, surrounded by palm trees, no clouds in the sky, my favourite song is playing, I'm getting tanned, and the most important part is that there really isn't anything to worry about. Clear Weather - Kixxie Siete

Asiat on niin hyvin et pelkään sen olevan merkki pahalle. Kaikki on vaan niin täydellistä! Yleensä en oo kovin onnekas ihminen, mut jotenkin mun matkan aikana, onni on selvästi kääntynyt mun puolelle! Kun saavuin Barcelonaan, tarkotuksena oli löytää lautta Mallorcaan. Kun olin paikallisilta kysymällä löytänyt lipputoimiston, mun pankkikortti ei toiminut. Piti sitten lähteä nostamaan rahaa automaatista, joka tietysti sijaitsi kaukana. Lipun myyjä oli varma etten ehtisi lauttaan, mut loppujen lopuksi ehdin! Jos en olis mennyt kyseiseen lauttaan, olisi pitänyt oottaa 12 tuntia. Bussi pysäytettiin ihan muo varten ja niin pääsin Mallorcalle! Paikan päällä mulla ei taas ollut mitään hajua miten päästä saaren toiselle puolelle, mutta jotenkin vaan asiat taas järjesty ja junalla pääsin perille!

Mun ihana, ystävällinen, paras isäntäperhe oli asemalla vastassa. Host äiti, Johanna on kotosin Ruotsista. Hän on aamuisin töissä pienessä putiikissa ja illalla laulaa keikkoja. Host isä, Nick työskentelee jahti teollisuudella ja tulee kotiin aina vasta seitsemän jälkeen. Kaksi monikielistä tytärtä, 10 vuotias Freja ja 7 vuotias Phoebe ovat tosi kiinostuneita oppimaan suomea! He osaa puhua sujuvaa englantia, ruotsia ja espanjaa, ja opettelevat katalaania (ja tietenkin suomea ;)) On ollu tosi kivaa olla heiän lapsenvahti. Mullahan ei ole ollenkaan aikaisempaa kokemusta lasten kanssa. Tänään olin viiden lapsen vahtina yksin kotona, joten eiköhän munkin kokemus pikku hiljaa kartu!

Mulla on oma huone, todella mukava sänky ja valtavasti tilaa! Työnkuvaani kuuluu lounaan valmistaminen, koiran ulkoiluttaminen, lasten vahtiminen ja siivoominen. Tykkään kaikista hommista ja kokoajan tuntuu kuin oisin näille velkaa täst mahdollisuudesta. Yleensä suomalaiset tulee tänne lomailemaan viikoksi johonkin hotelliin muiden turistien kanssa, mutta se mitä mä täällä koen on jotain ihan erilaista. Asun paikallisten kanssa kolme viikkoa! Me asutaan kodikkaassa talossa ihan rannan lähellä. Nään meren mun huoneen ikkunasta! Tää paikka, Son Serra de Marina on yks parhaimmista paikoista surffaukselle, joten aallot on valtavat ja rannat kauniita. Näillä on pieni allas ja sitruuna puu pihalla! Lapset myy mehua kadulla, ihan kuin Amerikassa.

Tästä kesästä täytyy todella nauttia, koska tällä hetkellä ei oo mitään mitä pitäis stressata. Ei koulua, ei vuokraa, ei töitä, ei läksyjä, ei kokeita tai mitään mistä pitäisi huolehtia. Täällä Mallorcallakin oon taas kokenut niitä "täydellisiä hetkiä", ihan ku Splitissäkin. Auringossa makaaminen, palmupuiden ympäröimänä, pilvetön taivas, lempi biisi soi kuulokkeista, rusketuksessa on edistystä, ja tärkein tekijä on se, ettei oikeesti ole mitään stressattavaa. Clear Weather - Kixxie Siete

This school thing was at the same night then the Mid summer party in Finland. In here it was like a Mid summer party as there was good food, lot of people, alcohol and reggae music dj! We apparently had a bit better weather in here though. / Koulu tilaisuus oli samana iltana ku Suomessa oli juhannus. Ei mun juhannus täällä eronnut paljoa Suomen juhannuksesta kun täälläkin oli hyvää ruokaa, paljon ihmisiä, alkoholia ja reggae musiikkia soittava dj! Meillä ilmeisesti kyllä oli vähän parempi ilma.

They have two cats who always find very interesting places to cool down / N'äiltä löytyy kaks kissaa, jotka aina löytää hyvin erikoisii paikkoja viilentymiseen 

Maya the dog <3 She's a sweet sweet little girl! Loves balls and cones, always so gentle and happy :) I'm so glad that they've got a dog (Nb. my "scottish way of using words, it's really contagious!) / Maya koira <3 Aivan ihana koira, rakastaa palloja ja käpyjä. Phoebe's school ended so they had this party at the school where all the kids and parents came. I was replacing Nick because he couldn't make it. / Phoeben koulu loppus, niin heillä oli juhla koululla. Kaikki lapset ja vanhemmat oli siellä. Mä olin Nickin sijaisena kun hän ei päässyt.

The school is very small, only about 40 students, so all the parents know each other. I really like Johanna's friends, most of them are from England and German so they can speak fluent English. / Ihan kun munkin ala-aste, täällä koulussa on vain noin 40 oppilasta, niin kaikki vanhemmat tuntee toisensa. Johannan ystävät on tosi mukavia. Suurin osa heist on englantilaisia tai saksalaisia, joten he osaa puhuu sujuvaa englantia. 

Everyone brought something for the table. Johanna made vegetable cakes and luckily other people brought vegetarian food too / Kaikki toi jotain syötävää tarjoilupöytään. Johanna teki vege piirakoita ja onneksi muutkin ihmiset toi kasvisruokaa.

I like it here, beautiful, colorful flowers, fresh fruits, clams and rocks everywhere <3 / Viihdyn täällä loistavasti, kauniita värikkäitä kukkii, tuoreita kotimaisia hedelmiä, simpukoita ja kiviä kaikkialla <3 

The kids have been showing me around the place. There are pretty amazing places to go for a walk with the dog. This picture is from a football field which is very near by. The girls played tag but for me it was just way too hot! / Lapset on näyttäny mulle paikkoja. Tääl on aika upeita reittejä missä voi ulkoiluttaa koiraa. Tää kuva on lähistöllä sijaitsevalta jalkapallokentältä missä tytöt leikkis hippaa, mulle sää oli aivan liian kuuma siihen!

The neighbourhood is pretty amazing, just how you can imagine it. White stone houses everywhere and pools in almost everyone's yard. / Tääl naapurustossa on aika upeita taloja, valkosia kivitaloja ja allas melkeen jokasen pihalla.

One day we went to this natural rocky beach where we could let the dog run free. I like it how dogs here can be without a leash. That's how they learn to get along with other dogs and people right from the beginning / Mentiin yks päivä yhelle kivirannalle jossa koiran sai pitää auki. Musta on ihanaa et täällä kaikki koirat saa juoksennella vapaana ilman remmiä. Siten ne tottuu muihin koiriin ja ihmisiin pentuajoista lähtien. 

We ordered traditional Spanish food, paella / Tilattiin espanjalaisille tyypillistä ruokaa paellaa.
